NYC CAP Announces 2026 General Election Endorsements

In advance of the general election on Tuesday, November 3, UAW Region 9A has endorsed candidates for U.S. Congress, the New York Senate, and the New York Assembly.
For U.S. Congress, UAW endorses our members Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier, in addition to labor champions Brad Lander and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.
For the New York State Senate and Assembly, UAW endorses the following candidates, including current and former UAW members in italics:

“We are excited to continue our work in Albany alongside these endorsed candidates to win and secure top UAW priorities such as universal childcare, temporary disability insurance reform, unemployment insurance for university workers, and taxing the rich so everyone pays their fair share,” said Region 9A Director Brandon Mancilla.
