On February 22, the National Labor Network for Ceasefire held its first public event, a webinar with UAW President Shawn Fain and NEA President Becky Pringle—watch the full video here. They were joined by two congresswomen on the front lines of the demand for a Ceasefire in Gaza, Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Summer Lee (D-PA), and Middle East historian, Professor Wendy Perlman, from Northwestern University.

Approximately 550 people attended. The unions calling for a ceasefire represent over 9 million unionized workers in the US (nearly 60% of all organized workers in the US). The National Labor Network for Ceasefire is the largest labor-backed antiwar effort in a generation, and first ever to be supported by seven national unions.
