Region 9A Heads to Chicago for 2024 Women's & TOP Conferences

Members from Locals 571, 1596, 2110, 2320, and 2377 represented Region 9A at the UAW Women's & TOP Conferences this week in Chicago, Illinois.

On Monday, members of the Center for Reproductive Rights Union (UAW Local 2110) presented a workshop about the current state of abortion and other reproductive rights at the state & federal level and how UAW members can fight for reproductive freedom.

On Tuesday, longtime Region 9A servicing representative Hyacinth Blanchard was honored for her nearly 20 years of service on UAW staff before her retirement this week.

Region 9A members also joined the Women's Department rally on Wednesday afternoon, as well as NOLSW Local 2320 members on the ACLU of Illinois for a picket on Thursday.
