UAW Members Named to 2024 Labor Power 100 in New York

City & State NY named two UAW members to their 2024 Labor Power 100 of the most influential labor leaders in New York. Corinthia Carter, President of the Legal Services Staff Association (Local 2320), and Region 9A Director Brandon Mancilla were both included on this year's list.

Corinthia's work to lead LSSA during the 13-week strike at Mobilization for Justice earlier this year was highlighted. The strike resulted in a new contract and raises for the attorneys and support staff at the housing right to counsel association, including new flexible work programs, parental leave, and alternative family planning coverage.

The list also featured Brandon's leadership within the UAW on international solidarity, supporting efforts for auto workers in Mexico and organizing a rally in Washington Square Park to support campus protests in favor of Palestine.
