ALAA Screening of Union Documentary

The Association of Legal Advocates and Attorneys’ Black and POC Caucuses are hosting a free in-person film screening of Union, the 2024 documentary on the formation of the Amazon Labor Union (ALU), followed by a Q&A session with three ALU organizers.
After the screening, we will be joined by three Black and POC organizers from ALU for a Q&A session. Angie Maldonado (former ALU Vice President), Sultana Hossain (ALU Recording Secretary), and Jordan Flowers (ALU Co-founder) who will share their unique perspectives on the struggle to unionize, ALU’s recent national holiday strike, navigating racism, sexism and ableism as workers of color, and the current moment for ALU.
