No ICE! Connecticut Stands with Minneapolis

On Friday, January 23, 2026, UAW Region 9A, labor and other Connecticut community organizations are gathering for mass rallies and marches in solidarity with Minneapolis-St. Paul and their call for a national “Day of Truth and Freedom” as they face an expanding occupation and escalating ICE violence.

Following the shooting of Renee Good and increased repression and intimidation by ICE, multiple Minnesota unions have called for a general strike and economic blackout in the cities. In solidarity with Minneapolis, we are calling on our members, allies, and communities to rally with us on Friday:

• Hartford State Capitol Lawn at 4pm
• New Haven Green at 4pm
• Bridgeport Brien McMahon Federal Building at 4pm
• Willimantic Jillson Square at 5pm
