Region 9A UAW Convention 101 Training

The 2026 UAW Constitutional Convention is fast approaching on June 15 - 19, 2026 in Detroit, Michigan. Our convention, which occurs every four years, is the highest authority of our union outside of the membership as a whole. The convention is also our opportunity to amend the UAW Constitution in order to help our organization better serve the membership.

Many of your locals may be in the middle of, or about the start the process of electing delegates to the Convention, but even if you are not a delegate every member has the right to participate in the Constitutional Convention by submitting resolutions for the Convention to vote on. Delegates at our last convention voted on resolutions to increase strike pay, solidify the direct election of international officers, and more!

We will be discussing the basics of the Constitutional Convention as well as how to draft and pass resolutions in your local to be sent for debate at the Convention in June, and everything else members need to know as we go into this moment!
