Rally to Support Workers at Cinema Village United

After winning their election earlier last year, the workers at Cinema Village United (Local 2179) began negotiations on July 12, 2024. In almost a year, their boss, Nick Nicolaou, has refused to bargain consistently.

In the interim, three ULPs have been filed over the company's refusal to bargain, direct dealing, and retaliatory behavior against the workers, who among other things, have faced a reduction of work hours, demotions, and the threat of closing down the movie theater during daytime hours. The workers have had enough and have voted to authorize a strike.

Come support their rallying cry to demand this behavior stop—show Nick that when any of our union siblings are under attack we stand up and fight back!
