Register for the 2022 NJC

Every 18 months, NOLSW, UAW Local 2320, holds a National Joint Council (NJC) that brings together NOLSW members from around the country to strengthen our union by developing skills in workshops, learning about important topics, and debating important issues. As a result of the pandemic, this year’s NJC will once again be held virtually, convening on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at noon (EDT), 11:00am (CDT), 10:00am (MDT), and 9:00am (PDT).
With war ravishing Eastern Europe, Covid-19 still a global pandemic and Republicans working harder than ever to make it difficult or impossible for people of color and low-income people to vote, our activism in the 2022 midterm elections is vital. If Republicans succeed in taking over the House or Senate, hope for any progressive reforms during the remainder of President Biden’s term will end and anti-democratic forces will be further emboldened leading into the 2024 Presidential Election. Justice demands that we engage politically to create a more just society, end systemic racism and economic inequality, and continue to work toward greater diversity, equality and inclusion in our programs and our Union.
Now, more than ever, it is important for us to gather together as a union family to plan our path forward. The Union can be a powerful force in electoral politics as well as in the fight for equality and to create a more just society that works for everyone. To do this, we need your support and participation. Please plan to attend the NJC on June 4, 2022, beginning at noon (EDT), 11:00am (CDT), 10:00am (MDT), and 9:00am (PDT).
