John F. Saffomilla and Roy Colville Scholarship 2026

 

Deadline for return of application forms and supporting data is Friday, April 24, 2026

The MDA-UAW Local 571 is pleased to announce the availability of ten (10) annual John F. Saffomilla and E. Roy Colville Scholarship Awards of $3,000.00 each to graduating high school seniors, pursuing a higher education, who meet the qualifying guidelines. This award is limited to children whose parents or legal guardian is a Local 571 member in good standing. Applications are available from your Grievance Representative or choose the link below to complete an application.

Workers Memorial Day Scholarship Essay Contest 2026

 

Deadline for return of application forms and supporting data is Wednesday, April 1, 2026


This contest invites students to thoughtfully explore the real-world impact of workplace hazards on workers and their families. Essays should reflect serious thought, research, and most importantly, an understanding of the true cost of unsafe working conditions. All entries will be judged anonymously on content, originality, and clarity of vision. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) may not be used to write or edit your essay!

Richard Dik Days 2026

 

Deadline for return of application forms and supporting data is May 8, 2026


Applications are now open for the Richard ‘Dik’ Days Scholarship! The Scholarship Fund, founded by the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists Connecticut Chapter, UAW Region 9A, and the Days family, will award three (3) $2,000 scholarships this year. If you are a Connecticut resident and a graduating high school senior attending college full-time in the fall or a current undergraduate student enrolled full-time in a college/university, you are eligible to apply for one of these scholarships.
