Greetings Union Family

We want to begin by thanking you for attending our kick-off rally last Saturday at Local 405. This action has sent a message to the Company that we are united. 

We have completed our second bargaining week with the Company. To be completely honest it has been a slow-moving process due to the positions taken by the Company Lead Negotiator. These are the topics the Company refuses to move on from:

  • The Company maintains its position on expecting you to work a rotating 12hr shift day and night.

     

  • The Company maintains their position to eliminate bargaining unit work and use temporary workers any time they cannot figure out how to manage their labor.

     

  • The Company continues to present unacceptable proposals to change contract language that they cannot make work for them. Examples are:
    • Job bids
    • Temporary transfer
    • Overtime

The Bargaining Committee urges you to join us in Solidarity tomorrow, Saturday September 13, 2025 @ 1:30pm in the UAW Region 9A offices located @ 120 Huyshope Avenue 4th Floor Hartford, CT. We will provide update on contract negotiations, our next steps, and education on strike process in the event it becomes necessary. 

We challenge you to join us and bring a new member with you.
