Bargaining Update: Day 17 of Negotiations

On Day 17 of negotiations, we have reached one (1) TA (Tentative Agreement) on a non‑economic issue. As of 6:20 PM, we’ve exchanged two rounds of counterproposals with the company and are currently waiting for their response to our latest counter.

Progress continues: one TA secured, more on the table that we are in position to win. The Company has caved and withdrawn almost all the proposals that would harm our contract language. We will maintain our bargaining unit rights. The negotiating committee remains at the bargaining table, holding firm and awaiting the company’s reply.

🔑 Things to Keep in Mind
•     Momentum matters: Even a non‑economic TA is a win and narrows the list of open issues.
•     Patience is part of the process: the longer the Company overthinks proposals, the more likely they are to withdraw theirs and work with ours.
•     Unless the Company wants us to SHUT IT DOWN, they will stay the course and continue to backoff their unrealistic proposals and accept ours.

We will provide another update tomorrow on what we anticipate should be more moves in favor of the Union.
