NOTICE OF LOCAL 2121 STEWARD and RPT/PT & Poker Associates BARGAINING COMMITTEE
NOMINATIONS Extension and ELECTIONS
April 22, 2025
The election of Local 2121 Executive Officers and Stewards will take place on May 30 and June 1, 2025, in accordance with the Constitution; Local bylaws; and the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959, as amended. If needed, run-off elections will be held on June 13th and June 15th, 2025.
TERM OF OFFICE
Executive Officers, Bargaining Committee, and Stewards will serve a three-year term which will end upon installation of new officers in 2028. Installation of officers will occur at the Local membership meeting following the deciding vote.
ELIGIBILITY TO HOLD OFFICE
No member shall be eligible for election to any office unless s/he has been a member in continuous good standing in the local union since March 31, 2024. A member may not run for or hold more than one Executive Office but may simultaneously run for and hold the office of Steward, Bargaining Committee and an Executive Office. If any member accepts nomination for more than one Executive Office, the Election Committee shall deem that the member has accepted only the last nomination accepted by him/her.
Stewards Investigate and handle member grievances. Represent members in disciplinary matters and other workplace disputes. Keep members informed of Local news and events. Welcome new bargaining unit members. Perform other duties as assigned.
Bargaining Committee
Bargaining Committee members to represent us in collective bargaining with Foxwoods management including but not limited to negotiating our Successor agreement which expires December 31, 2025.. All who have been members in good standing for 1 year as of March 1, 2025 are eligible.

NOMINATIONS
All members in good standing of UAW Local 2121 are automatically nominated for all offices. To run, you must accept nomination in writing, delivered either by hand or email to the Local Union office NO later than April 27th by 5:00pm.

Following the close of nominations, on April 29th at 10am , the Election Committee will be holding a meeting for all candidates to explain campaign rules and determine the order of names on the ballot according to random drawing. Attendance is not required. Candidates may, if they wish, send a designated observer.
