Call Your Senators: Confirm the NLRB Chair Today

By Wednesday night, the Senate will vote on the confirmation of National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Chair Lauren McFerran. If McFerran is confirmed, the NLRB will maintain a pro-worker majority at least through August 2026. With an incoming Trump administration, it is all the more important that we act now. To protect workers’ right to organize and collectively bargain, it is critical that McFerran be confirmed.

That’s why we need as many people as possible to call their senators to ask them to confirm her nomination today. Will you make a call to protect the NLRB’s pro-worker majority? Enter your information on the petition page to receive a call or dial 855-873-8618.

When Donald Trump selects a majority of the NLRB, workers’ rights will be immediately at risk. His Project 2025 agenda seeks to weaken workers’ rights to organize, and Trump himself was filmed praising business owners who unlawfully fired striking workers. If McFerran is not confirmed in December, Trump will control the board starting in January, and the promised rollback of workers’ rights at the behest of Big Business will begin.

Tell Congress: Support the Tax Credit for Union-Made Electric Vehicles made in the U.S.

The tax credit of an additional $4,500 for union-made electric vehicles made in the U.S. is a win for UAW members, unorganized autoworkers, and the entire labor movement. The provision:

  • Supports the high standards in wages, benefits, and safety that UAW members have bargained for in the auto industry
  • Incentivizes nonunion companies to stop spending millions on union busters and to allow their workers to form their unions freely
  • Encourages U.S. auto manufacturers to bring back jobs they offshored

TAKE ACTION NOW - EMAIL YOUR US SENATOR AND TELL THEM TO PASS THE HEROES ACT NOW

Take five minutes to make a difference today - email your US Senator today and ask them to support the HEROES Act (Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions)!

The HEROES Act would retain critical provisions, such as:
  • Creating a strong, enforceable temporary OSHA standard to working people in all sectors of our economy. The Senate must ensure that workers feel safe at work; it will slow the spread of the virus, and support a sustained, safe re-start of the economy.
