Pursuant to the Consent Decree entered by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in the matter of United States v.

September 25, 2020 - UAW Region 9A’s Veteran’s Committee participated in the CT Veterans Stand Down .  The Stand Down is an annual event committed to helping Veterans by providing “one stop” access to a range of programs and services offered by state and federal agencies, Veterans organizations, and community-based non-profits. Our Veteran’s Committee teamed up with Gemma Moran Food Bank and our siblings at UAW Local 571 Marine Draftsmen's Association (MDA) to provide food and a variety of snacks to CT’s Veterans.

Detroit -- Our thoughts and prayers are with the President, First Lady and White House staff for a quick recovery from COVID-19. UAW members know all too well the danger of this pandemic and we pray for the health and recovery of all who are infected, exposed or caring for family members.

Because the progress unions have made over the last decades to build a strong middle class and enable working people to retire in dignity is systematically being whittled away. Let’s take a hard look at how the working men and women of the United States have fared in the last few years.

On Tuesday, September 29, Senator Elizabeth Warren will host a pre-debate virtual rally with union members from across the Great Lakes State. Senator Warren will discuss what is at stake for labor and working families this November -- including protections for people with pre-existing conditions -- and encourage union members to mobilize their networks to help elect Joe Biden.
